ADIT refers to biometrics. What the approval notice is stating is that you will get your GC within 60 days or when you complete any ADIT processing that still needs to occur.
Some people are getting their GC approved without an up to date ADIT file. So the application is approved and an ADIT request is made. Once you complete it, they send you the card.

I also called a member of IV core yesterday evening and they told me that they have told you not to do whatever that you are doing. I was told that you are hurting their effort and you have been told this pretty clearly. But you continue with this senseless and direction less ranting and you continue to cause damage to the effort for the removal of country-limits.
Its disgusting that rather than working with others to fix this complicated and difficult issue, you continue to beat your own drum, without actually doing anything, but at the same time hurting the issue you claim you care for. And on top of that you want to remove the country limits only until you get your green card. Is that rationale to you in any which way?????? No. Is your action selfish????? YES.

This effort was started knowing IV did not endorse it. We knew IV did not endorse it, but never heard from anyone in core why they opposed it. We did some guess work of why IV opposed this effort and figured it out it was not that risky effort.
We hoped to have someone from IV core joining our call and explaining why it was not a good idea.
If someone starts a focus group ( whether IV endorses it or not), it is in IV core's interest to make sure IV core's concerns are heard in the effort.
mirage himself was close to IV core at some point. I guess he didn't have much idea why IV core opposed this.
Anyway IV core and members should join such efforts and let their voices heard. There is no point in complaining once focus team members have started acting on their agenda.
Coming to the effort, I don't think mirage is following any selfish agenda by his proposal. He is not proposing anything that will close doors behind him.

Anyway, moving forward...It will be nice to make a list of desirable points in a bill that is independent of any cause for illegal immigrants. I will start with two points. You can add more if you like. If there is enough momentum and support for these points, then in a truly democratic environment, we may want to modify the core IV goals to reflect that (Ideally I would prefer that there be a vote for what should be the core goals...after all most people here have contributed something towards the cause...and only those who have contributed should be allowed to vote...no free lunch).
1. Allow people to file for 485 and get EAD even if visa numbers are not available
2. Allow EAD to be FULLY portable without restrictons (i.e., irrespective of job description or job title or job location or salary).
The above two dont ask for sweeping changes in immigration laws such as increase visa numbers etc. etc. and are easy for the average American person to understand. And so can hopefuly be passed easily.
With the above two passed, I dont think many people will complain if it takes another 5 years to get their GC. Agree?
By the way, I have got my EAD card and my PD is also current. So the above two goals will be redundant for me. My story is that I am stuck in FBI namecheck. But the moderators have already indicated that it cant be one of the core goals. So I would not list that even if I would like that to be one of the core goals.

People who have read my posts know my admiration for India and my belief that it will be Americans who will fight to get a job there one day. The numbers I shared are not "blinding me by my own bias" like you say at all. I fact, I used numbers in order not to be biased and rather to be fair. I just responded to some ignorant comments by some people. I have been to India and hope to go back, and have many great friends from there. What discouraged me is that some people will attack my country especially in a forum where that doesn't belong and where we are all trying to help each other. Any divisions among us are a victory for our detractors. I hope you understand. Let's focus on helping each other going forward, and let's all be friends! Thanks.

Try to call them or you may write a letter to them. I really hope and pray you get your EAD card soon. I also had applied in June and received few days ago. Good Luck.

I am going to complete my 180 days by 1st week of Decemeber. The company I work for, is offering me a Project Manager position. My labor is filed for a programmer. I asked my lawyer and he told me that they sent a email to Florida State Workforce Agency to classify my new position and depending on the reply he tells me that I may or maynot port my labor.
Is anyone in the same boat? Is there any work around? I have been on H1 for 10 years now working for the same company (2 yrs as Contractor and 8 as employee), they have screwed me many times, I just don't want another disappointment. If this does not work, then I guess I have switch another company....
It doesn't matter what you work as prior to your getting GC, bottom line is, when your GC approval is nearing if there is an RFE for Letter of Employment confirmation from your sponsoring employer, they should reply back saying something like, "...we have an offer for a programmer's job for you on your getting your GC". If you have a problem with that, get a similar letter (with same job description as in original LC) from another employer, and keep it ready just in case. Note that offers have to be to give you a job UPON your getting a GC. Read USCIS clarifications in:

I've been coping with GC related stress by meditating as much as I can. Meditation releases endorphines which helps you calm down and have a clutter free mind. I know it is easier said than done, but it works. I also take meditative walks on weekends. We have trails near our house which take me to deep wooded area away from traffic and everything. I walk about 4-5 miles on weekends. Lately not walking due to cold. I also listen to Deepak Chopra, Joel Osteen, Wayne Dyer on Youtube. Hope this helps.

Actually in the landing paper there is a place where teh officer needs to sign of funds as well.

Today I spoke to a Representative who deals with immigration issue at Sen Mike Dewine's (R-OH) office. I spoke to him for 15 minutes to understand what he and his senator think about this CIR.
Here is he and his senator feels about this bill. It is difficult for him to say that when CIR bill will be introduced in senate floor . It depend on Majority and Minority leaders to decide. Majority leader told to the media that he will introduce before the end of the may, he is mostly consistent, but there are several bills where he has committed a timeline and till today it is not on the floor.
However he told that once CIR pass, legal immigration is already taken care of, but if it does not passes there are bills like SKIL which will be put before the floor. But CIR has to fail or pass before you see this SKILL bill on the floor.
This might be kind of tricky. CIR might neither pass nor fail in the Senate but just being shelved. If that is the case, SKIL might never come to the floor
